This past weekend my Dad came down for a much anticipated visit to meet his grandson. I think they really hit it off ;) Nathan smiled and laughed when he saw him, and my Dad was great with getting him to sleep.
He was only here for the weekend, but we had fun checking out a couple local parks and walking around Uptown (downtown) Charlotte. Here are some pictures of my Dad and his new little buddy:
::sigh:: Every day I'm reminded of how fast my baby boy is growing up. Yesterday I realized that (obviously) he's now waaay to big to fit in my tummy! So odd to think that just a couple months ago he was so small. Also: teeth! He has 2 that have already sprouted up! Way too soon, I'm not ready! ;)

Gotta Start 'Em Young
This weekend we took Nathan on his first camping trip! We met up with Allan's brother Kieth and his wife Megan in the Smoky Mountains for a fun weekend. We went on a few hikes, and he got to look at lots of new things. It rained most of Saturday, and that night the temperatures were around 60 degrees, but we survived and I think he had a great time! :)
Watching us set up the tent
He can just watch THIS time...but I'll bet he'll be ready to "help" by next year :)
Ta da!
Nathan loves his Aunt Megan :)
Nom Nom
We need to take more family photos...
He even did pretty good on the loooong (4 hour) drive there. Here he is with his new friend "Sharka-Kahn"
He also got to go out to his first restaurant: Texas Roadhouse!
My new little hiking buddy! We got up early Sunday and took a nice walk around the campground area. One trail had lots of old vacation cabins (now abandoned)

3 Months and Growing!
I can't believe my little guy is three months old! It seems like he's just so tiny...and at the same time it's like he's been with us forever. Well, 1/4 year down...many more to go :)
In the past month he's gotten so big: he "talks" and smiles and laughs! He started rolling over from back to belly, and now grabs his feet and sucks on his hands. Look how big he is!

More Visitors :D
Labor Day weekend we had some visitors! My Aunt Paulie, Cousin Val, and little Jasper came to visit! I was sooo glad! We went to the Charlotte Nature Museum and some local parks, then went on a short hike in the mountains the day they went home. We love you guys! :)
